Portage Collegiate Institute's art project colourfully displayed on the outside walls of the Prince Charles building is bringing new life to the old school.
Yvette Cuthbert, who worked on the illustrations for the series of silhouettes depicting PCI's vibrant history, is the chairwoman of the PCI Plaza Committee.
"It only went up a little over a week ago," she said of the artwork. "It has some dates it needs added — but otherwise it looks great up there."
The cost for the project was supported with the help of a Heritage Grant.
The PCI Plaza Committee has been working on the design to beautify and develop the area between the west PCI building and the east Prince Charles building, since PCI and Arthur Meighen High School amalgamated in 2006, and PCI took over the former Prince Charles School building to accommodate the additional students.
