Twirl it, slurp it, scoop it or slice it, there will be plenty of pasta on hand Wednesday during the annual spaghetti lunch.
As usual, the Manitoba Government and General Employees Union will host the event, a fundraiser for the Portage Plains United Way, with food prepared at the Portage Correctional Centre.
United Way personnel will also be on hand to help out.
"We'll definitely be kicking around and working," United Way executive director Tara Pettinger said Monday.
The lunch will also add to the United Way's fall fundraising campaign, which is rolling right along.
"We're currently at just about 40 per cent of our campaign goal of $220,000," Pettinger noted.
The lunch will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion on Nov. 4 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 each and include lunch, beverage and a dessert. You can also order takeout, which will be delivered to your place of work. Call 857-4440 for more details.
